Maybeline Angelfit Blush

Maybeline had came out with a couple of products like Angelfit Liquid Foundation, Foundation and etc, and now, they have it in a blusher form. I got it in Aprocot velvet as it would give me a more tanned, sunkissed look rather than those cute pikachu-ish cheek.

The retail price is about Rm 29.90 and I got it for a discounted price of Rm 25.80 in sasa. The texture of the powder is pretty fine but what I dislike about it is the brush. I think it is a little poky to the touch. What i would suggest is get a blusher blush. Those big ones.
The colour is decently pigmented and I think it would be suitable for those who wants a natural look. I am not a die hard fan of blusher as I feel that putting blusher makes me feel old as I see some adults would not even step out from their house without applying blusher. Now I think that blusher is a tool for me to contour my face.
Tips: To make your face look slimmer, apply the blusher starting from bottom of the nose and blend towards your lower cheek. Like drawing a Nike logo from bottom of your nose to your hairline. This will make your face look smaller and more defined.

Etude House BB cream

I am not exactly a fan of Etude House, but it sure does attract my attention everytime I pass by their shop. I always wanted to try on BB cream, but not willing to splurge so much on one BB cream.

So I just went into the shop, asking for some suggestion and explaination and purchased this.
The texture is quite light, not as thick as what I thought it should be. The colour was sort of dark when I initially put it on my palm but it blends well on my skin although I have a fairly fair skin.
It helps to control oil and it gives me a medium coverage and a not so foundation look. it acts as a moisturiser cum make up base.
worth to buy? Depends on your budget. This does not contain SPF and I prefer to mix it with my sunblock before applying it to my face.
Retailing at Rm 45+.(not sure with the exact price)

The Face Shop fake lashes

I am not truly falsie fans. Infact, I prefer applying mascara instead. But even I do, I prefer a more natural looking lashes that those extreme ones that look so fake. I am not exactly good at putting it but still okay la.
Retailing at Rm8.90, there is Rm 2 off due to sales. So it costs only Rm 6.90. yeah, its cheap but it is nt as good as I expected it to be. The glue is not sticky at all. The moment I apply the glue, then I wait for a couple of seconds before applying it. And when I apply the lashes, it falls off easily.
Yeah, Perhaps I should get another glue for it.

Skin food Crayon creamy liner

This product is a new product from Skinfood. I guess there are couple of new items coming to Malaysia though. I wanted to get a eyeliner that day and went to couple of shops. tried Kate square cut eyeliner and it doesn't last me long. and I don't want to splurge too much on eyeliner though.

Sometimes I don't understand, why we want to splurge on something which has the similar function and sometimes we can get it in a much cheaper price. I definately wouldn't want to spend bout Rm 50-70 just for an eyeliner though.

This eyeliner glides on smoothly on my eyelid and it glides so easily till you can smudge it without rubbing your eyelids like crazy. The main thing is this liner stays all day long. I have a oily skin and sweats easily though but it lasts me the whole day during my college hours without smudging.

This liner comes with 5 colours. olive, brown, blue black, purple and white.

I chose the blue black one because it resembles black the most. The price is Rm21.90 and its a good deal for a college student like me.=)

Kate dual karat eyeshadow.

This is my second palatte of Kate eyeshadow I purchased and I'm not really sure I am regretting buying it or not. I bought that in sasa and it the colour really looks nice under the orange-ish spotlight in sasa. i got it in BR-1. It looks shimmery and perfect for a normal day out or maybe some formal dinner.

But to my dissapointment, it is just so not pigmented. In order to make the colour show out, I have to apply it wet. and I thought it was brown. and its written there brown. But it looks like violet purple instead when I apply it on my eyelid.

I think their Glam Trick Eyes Eyeshadow is superb, although its not really that pigmented. But this really dissapoints me. I should have taken the Deep eyes set instead. I initially wanted to get dark brown but I ended up getting a slightly lighter brown tone.

But the thing that really really dissapoints me is the shimmer fall off below my eye. okay, thats the problem with my skills but the shimmer is really hard to remove. I had use 2 types of remover and yet the shimmer still stay there. and i try not to rub the delicate area .

Alright. I don't think I will repurchase the eyeshadow again.

Maybelline hypercurl mascara

since i got Rm20 metrojaya voucher and didn't want to cash out so much to top up for other stuffs. I got myself a Maybelline Hypercurl mascara which I wanted to try.

Alright. The hypercurl means its meant to curl my lashes but I still curl my lashes before that. Its similar with Maybelline turbo Boast mascara but I personally prefer the latter one. It gives me more volume actually.

Well, afterall, it quite okay for a drugstore brand mascara. But I still prefer the Kate Wax mascara but it takes some time for me to remove it. But a few swipes of Hypercurl and one swipe of wax mascara, my eye looks as if its magnified.

But afterall, its still good for a starter.=)

Mascaras, mascaras and mascaras

If you're blessed with long, thick fluttery lashes. Just skip this. haha. Mascara oh mascara! When I could find the perfect one that curls, lengthens and volumizes at the same time and it doesn't cost a bomb?

Let me summarise some mascaras I had been trying for the past few years. Hmm, I mean for the past 3 years.

Silky girl Lash prism: Good for beginner as its so cheap, but eventhough its said to be waterproof, but it just smudges when you sweat.

Maybeline Sky high Curves: Less clumpt but didn't give me much volume. Only some length and curls.

Loreal Double extension: I would seriously prefer the waterproof one than the regular one. And it would be better when its dryer. When its wet, it does not do wonders for me.

Loreal mascara(couldn't remember the name, Brush something and it has the base and the mascara): Its clumpy and its hard to remove. But the base is good.

Maybeline Turbo Boast: Its something I would repurchase again, again and again. Its like a push up bra for my lashes though. Mylashes look really volumized and defined.

Revlon lengthening mascara: Ermm, it does not do wonders on my lashes as all.

Kate Volume mascara: Its seriously a great mascara. But its waterprof and sort of hard to remove but still ok.

Kate Wax mascara: A mascara that has a comb applicator and it is so slim. But its a not bad mascara afterall. (I'm using it currently)

Estee Lauder volumizing mascara: Not sure with the name, but its quite good la. But the smell is sort of too strong. Afterall, i got it as a sample.

Rimmel Extra super Lash: Its a little wet and therefore it weighs my lashes down. I prefer if I first applied a mascara base and then a few swaps of it.

Mascara that i would like to try:
Lash Gorgeous wings, Majolica Majorca
Lancome Hypnose
Estee Lauder vibrating mascara
Givenchy Phenomenon eyes(I like the ball shape of it)
Loreal Double extension beauty tubes.

Alright. that's all for now. Hopefully I would get any of it after CNy with all my moolahs.=p

ESTEE Lauder Turbo Lash

This is actually a mascara that volumizes, lengthens, curls and separates at the same time. They have the oscilator that actually makes the mascara vibrates itself.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

This is one of the best scrubs you can find if you want a radiant glow on your skin. This is actually a face scrub but its so fine and gentle and it can be used for daily basis.

A gentle exfoliating daily facial scrub Contains bearberry, aspergillis grapefruit to balance skin pigmentation Together with rice bran rice extracts to regulate melanin production Instantly eases away dead surface cells impurities Leaves skin looking marvelously bright more radiant Suitable for all skin types.

It smells a little weird when you're using it for the first time, but gradually, you will get used to it.

It lasted me quite long since I don't exfoliate my day everyday due to my laziness. But it seriously give you the radiant glow that you always want. Its not like those harsh scrubs that you can find in any drugstore brand which has large beada that will make your face feel sqeaky clean but it tend to strip off our skin's natural oil and will then lead to excessive secretion of oil and leads to breakout. I had experienced that before.

It is about Rm 200+ I think. I can't really remember the price since I found that in the bathroom. But its definately worth it for a radiance glow and smoother face.

My Beauty Diary mask

This mask sheet is quite popular in Taiwan because its so cheap and it may be used in a daily basis. But if you were to look for the mask in Malaysia, its about Rm15 for 2 pieces. I got it for Rm 35 per box of 10 pcs courtesy of my friend who went to Hong Kong and she helped me to get it. So it is about Rm 3.50 per pc.

Black Pearl Mask

Suitable Skin Types - All skin types, especially for dull looking skin.
Effects - Firming, regenerating, moisturising, whitens and brightens the overall complexion.

The texture is quite light and non-greasy and it absorbs easily. There's a hint of fragance which I suppose is the fragance of the black pearl?

After applying it for 20 minutes, the after mask effect is not bad. It makes my skin feel smooth and soft and the pores are like minimized. Unlike some mask which makes my face feel greasy and the next day my skin is freaky oily and my pores are enlarged like a full stop in a sentence.

So basically I would say this mask is worth to buy, afterall, its only Rm 3.50 per pc(if you buy in HK lah).

The mask can be found in Guardian, and some shops in Sunway Pyramid, I couldn't remember the name though. Its situated in the new wing nearby Yogurt Berry and Miss T.

Fasio full glossy lips

My latest tube of gloss. Fasio full glossy lips in Smokey Pink. I used to have this tube of lipgloss in Peach Pink, but its just too light and make my lips look artificial. I always love those nude, lip-less look because I think its so feminine, thus I pick those cute girly colours.

I was wrong. I supposed to choose the colour that complement my lips. Its pretty dark actually if you see it in the tube but it looks natural on my lips.

My lips is more like a little pouty I guess. Haha. I just dislike lipsticks because its a little drying and I think it makes me look old and I feel old too.

And this gloss just cost me Rm23.90 with 10% discount. Its quite affordable. This gloss comes with a some sort of felt-brush applicatur with is bent to make application easy. The colour is quite sheer with a tint of colour.

Results. It looks a little pinkish here.

Tips.
To make your gloss lasts longer, apply lip balm to your lips and dab some foundation on your lips. Then apply your gloss.

How to make your eyes appear larger

Okay. I'm not blessed with super big eyes and nice skin, but with the help of technology, chemisty and so on, you can always achieve the effect you want. Sometimes its not because you don't want to be natural, but well, you're left with no choice.

After burning the late night oil, its quite obvious you'll scare people off with dark circles under your eye and terrible oily and blotchy skin.

I don't depend entirely on cosmetics, but it sure does help me to make me feel better. Oh i forgot to mention, contact lens. My saviour which I will not attend important events without it. Its like part of my life now. =p

Don't laugh at this photo.my eye without contact lens, liner, concealer, whatever you call it. And its after a late night's sleep. Gosh. I know it scares people off. I was some sort of shocked and surprised

My eye after contacts, concealer and liner.
I guess my eye is like enlarged and doubled its original size. I think it looks dolli-ish. its quite easy to achieve this kind of eyes.(proud of her own skills)

Step 1.Dab the concealer on your hands. The heat from the body will melt the concealer and thus its easier to blend to your undereye.
Step 2.Use your finger and dab it to your undereye and blend it slowly.
Step 3.Line your upper eyelid and lower outer corner of your lower eyelid.Step 4. Curl and swipe a few coats of mascara on your eyes.
Tadah!. Wear on contacts before you do all these.

KATE Wax Mascara

I bought this little beauty in Genting when I need mascara desprately. Kate is actually a brand from Japan which works pretty well. Their eyeliners, eye shadows and mascaras are my favourite and well. I'm still searching for my super 'mascara'.

Its actually in a slender tube form and its a wand applicator. Its sort of hard to use it at the first time as it will clump at the roots there itself.

Well, its actually a good mascara. You can find it in any Kate Counters in Watsons or Parkson and it is retailed at Rm 49. Sometimes there's discount for this brand, so check it out.

I personally have straight lashes and I need to curl my lashes before applying mascara.

See the difference? It looked a bit clumpy due to my not so good skills but it seriously lengthen and make my lashes thicker. Well, perhaps I need more practice for this.

The verdict?

This mascara is worth to buy. It falls below the Rm 50 budget of mine.=)

Introduction

I decided to set up this blog to review on some of the moderate end up make ups. Not everyone could use high ends one and I would prefer to use those not so expensive ones. But sometimes affordable one makes wonders too.

The reviews will be basically on make ups products like mascara, eyeshadows, liners, glosses and etc.

Afterall, that's what girls like right?
